My name is Andrew Lunn and I have worked in the Travel Industry since 1984 working in branches such as Lunn Poly and Thomas Cook as a flight specialist then Travel by appointment where customers had one to one chats in their luxury private lounges to discuss their holiday plans.
I moved to Newcastle in 2005 and worked for various Travel companies in a various call centres Holiday Discount centre, Broadway travel then worked for Hays travel in their Tour Operating side putting together quotes for all their branches and associates to include flights hotels transfers tours and rail travel.
After that I worked for Rail tour Guide putting together complicated train journeys Worldwide with Eurostar trips and standard and Luxury trains like Orient Express Amtrak the Rocky Mountaineer and the Luxury trains in Australia and New Zealand and I have personally travelled on the Northerner Auckland to Wellington and Coastal Pacific train from Picton to Christchurch which I loved.
I recently spent 7 weeks in Vietnam based in Da Nang but stayed in Hoi An and in Hue and a night down in Quang Ngai. They all have fantastic beaches and the locals are so friendly and honest and the cost of living is so cheap for travellers from UK. It is quoted on various sites as 30% cheaper the cost of living than Thailand and 100% safe as a holiday destination.
Other destinations I have visited are New Zealand at least 10 times as my family live there and I have visited most of the main tourist sites. I have also visited nearly all the main cities in Australia as well as stayed on Gold and Sunshine coast. I have flown with most of the major airlines with stopovers in Singapore Hong Kong Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur and Dubai but was before what it is like now.
In my travel career I have visited Orlando New York Chicago and Los Angeles and Santa Barbara and was fortunate enough to stay 4 nights at Kruger National Park and then driven along the Garden Route with stops in various places before finishing up in Cape Town
